Pastor Strickland's ministry is best accurately described in 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be streadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." 


As the song goes, "If I Can Help Somebody" Reverend Strickland is a Pastor dedicated to living by example and encouraging  men, women and youth how to live up to their full potential in Christ. His talents were seen early, with his desire to be a Music Director. However, the Lord had others plans for Reverend Strickland and expanded his territory.  Pastor Strickland has more than two decades of teaching and counseling, which  enables him to reach others with humor, warmth and strengthen.

The foundation for the ministry of a humble servant of God was nurtured under  his mentor and father in the ministry, the Late Reverend Charles A. Jones. The Lord has blessed Pastor Strickland's throughout his ministry delivers powerful messages and praise through his music that  revive the soul and administers the church according to the Word of God.


He is an alumnus of Pearl High School, Tennessee State University and TTI Seminary Continuing Education. Reverend Strickland has served the African Methodist Episcopal Church (13th Episcopal District) Tennessee Annual Conference Pastor for over 25 years. 


His Pastorate appointments include: Roberts Chapel (Linden) 11 years;  St. Luke (Nashville) 7 years; Martin Chapel (Clarksville) 5 years;  and has been at Webb Grove (Murfreesboro)  the last 3 years.


He is the youngest of four brothers, the proud son of Mary E. Strickland and a native Nashvillian.
